Our Samsung Jet Review

Samsung Jet

Billed as ‘Smarter than a Smartphone’, the Samsung Jet S8000 is certain to prove a hit with customers due to its small and stylish design, wealth of features and it’s moderate price tag.

The first thing that hits you about the Samsung Jet is that it looks amazing. It is small, sleek and fits easily in your pocket so it won’t cause any problems with portability. It is also incredibly light, although this can make it feel slightly cheap when compared to something like the weighty iPhone. However, the overall design is great and despite its size you won’t have any problems hitting the right buttons.

One of the stand-out features of the Jet is its spectacular 3.1-inch touchscreen. The WVGA AMOLED screen packs in an amazing resolution to make looking at your photos, surfing the net or watching videos a joy.

The Samsung Jet comes packed full of loads of advanced features to justify the tagline. The 5MP camera is capable of taking some quality photos, and it also includes an autofocus and a flash to make your pics really stand out. As well as this, you’ll be able to take your own videos as well as downloading them and watching them on the bright display in either DivX or XviD format. And with 2GB of inbuilt memory and the opportunity to increase this to 16GB with a microSD card, there’s plenty of room for storage.

The phone also comes with an MP3 player and FM radio, and the 3.5mm headphone jack does not make the phone noticeably bulkier. On top of this, browsing is made effortless with the Dolphin browser, allowing you to view up to five pages at a time.

But on top of these excellent features, the Jet is also a powerful phone. It comes with an 800MHz processor and that makes it really fast. In fact, Samsung proudly claim that it is the fastest full-touch mobile around.

Overall, the Samsung Jet S8000 is a slim, feature-packed phone with impressive usability that will not break the bank, especially when compared to other smartphones on the market.

Liked the LED flash as I love taking photos last night. Other features seem average, but great as a cameraphone

The Jet's multimedia does it for me. I don't have to carry an iPod to sync my music, I love it's built-in mp3 player
